Paper Aeroplane Competition - 8.1.19
As part of our Maths lessons, we had a paper aeroplane competition in the hall. First, we made our aeroplanes, then in groups we took them into the hall to fly them. We then had to measure how far our own aeroplanes went using paper feet. We did this by lining up the paper feet at our start line, and adding more feet until we got to our aeroplane. We then counted how many feet there were and added it to the chart next to our name. At the end of the session, we were able to work out who's plane had flown the farthest ,and the winner was.....
A Surprise Visitor! - 19.12.18
During our Christmas party day, we had a surprise visit from none other than Father Christmas himself!! He was very busy, but thought we had been very good so we deserved a little early present.
2D Shape Hunt - 3.12.18
Red Class went on a shape hunt around the classroom, looking for the 2D shape. They found the shapes in the toys, signs and objects in the classroom.
Using iPads - November 2018
Red Class used the iPads to take photos of each other. We learnt how to hold the iPads, what app to use, and how to make sure that the person we're taking a photo of is in the photo.
Trip to Holy Apostles Church - October 2018
Red Class had fun on their trip to the church. We sang songs, listened to stories, made clams shell, and got to explore all the different parts of the church, even the parts we're not normally allowed in!
Making Homes for the Three Little Pigs - September 2018
After reading the story of the Three Little Pigs, the children decided to make homes for them. We talked about what would be the strongest material to make our houses from, so that the wolf couldn't blow them down. Here are the final designs
